Something fun that Disney does every year is add in some seasonal snacks around the parks and resorts. They have a fun and creative twist on both Disney characters and the season. The only downside is that there are usually too many to try all around the resort in the short amount of time they are offered! Here is a little list of some of the snacks I have gotten to try this year at Magic Kingdom that you might want to consider on your next visit!
Headless Horseman Rides Again- Sunshine Tree Terrace ($10.29)
This treat took the fan favorite dole whip and made it strawberry. It even had Fanta Strawberry on the bottom to make it more of a float. On a long hot day in the parks, this is the perfect refreshing treat to cool you down. It even comes with a little headless horseman clipped to the straw that you can take home! Although I did finish this one myself, it is big enough to be shared by two people. Of all the snacks I got to try, this one was probably my favorite. If I did get this again though, I would probably share it with a friend.
Constance’s For Better or For Worse Wedding Cake- Liberty Square Market ($6.29)
This little cake is perfect for all the Haunted Mansion fans out there. It hit the theming spot on and even had a little chocolate axe sticking out of the top. Unlike a lot of other Disney treats, this was the perfect size to be finished by one person or even tasted by two. The cake is hidden inside a layer of raspberry Bavarian cream. I usually am not a huge fan of fruity desserts, but this one was pretty good!
Poor Unfortunate Souls Float- Storybook Treats
This treat was talked about because of its appearance… it’s blue ice cream! This is a Coke float with cream cheese soft serve and black raspberry syrup. I did not order this for myself so I did not get to try the entire float part with the Coke, but I am not sure how I would have felt about those flavors together anyway. I was very interested in the cream cheese soft serve though. It was pretty good! I am not sure I could have eaten the whole thing, but to give you a reference on flavor we all connected it to a Go-Gurt.
Pumpkin Spice Milkshake and Pumpkin Spice Soft-Serve Sundae– Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
Both of these treats offer soft pumpkin ice cream, topped with caramel, whipped cream, and festive spooky sprinkles! The milkshake even has a giant Mickey marshmallow on the straw. The ice cream flavor I think is a bit too sweet, and I wasn’t able to finish my sundae. However, the caramel really does add a good touch to it!
Okay so I know I said this post will cover Magic Kingdom snacks, but I will mention one spooky drink I had at Animal Kingdom. At Flame Tree Barbeque I tried the Rotten Apple which was Angry Orchard Cider with Fireball Whiskey. To make the treat fun and seasonal it comes with gummy worms and a poison apple glow cube that you get to take home! While I couldn’t really taste the fireball in this, it was still a fun seasonal drink to try!
So there’s my round-up of all the spooky treats I’ve gotten to try so far this year! There are still so many other good ones that I want to try all around the parks and resorts so maybe there will be another short post coming soon! What were your favorite spooky treats from this year?
